On Monday morning, there's a city hearing on a proposed $3.3 million increase for parks and recreation in Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Parks Alliance, which is trying to galvanize support for the hike.
As you might guess, this is the pool of money from which maintenance costs for Pennypack Park are derived. (i.e. Our awesome fields.)
The Parks Alliance is trying to get as many people out to support the effort as possible. They've asked supporters to bring signs or wear green if you can make it.
The meeting is at 10 a.m. at Philadelphia City Hall, room 400.
