Division Information

Abierto is Casa's entry-level division and began play in spring 2009. The regular season and playoff winners win promotion to Tercera.

Division News: Park Towne finally loses, tightening promotion race

Somebody finally beat Park Towne United, and it means Abierto has the closest race in all of Casa with just one week till the playoffs.

Krev slipped by PTU 1-0 on Javier Bonilla's goal, dropping PTU into a first place tie with Marlton (though PTU has played one less game). PTU, which has scored the least goals in the division but also given up the fewest, will try to bounce back this week against Sons of Ben Union, who lost 3-2 last week to Brighton. This week, Brighton will try to dent another top-table team when they play Marlton.

Right now, five teams still have a mathematical chance of finishing in first place, making the season's last two weeks a free-for-all in the race for the guaranteed promotion slot that comes with a regular season title.

Reminder: Wild card matches take place Sunday, Nov. 22, the day after the last regular season games. Playoff seedings will be announced immediately following the late games on Nov. 21.
